Effective preaching of the Gospel — the good news that we can be reconciled to God through Christ — is made possible through prayer.
We see this when Paul asks for prayer for his missionary efforts in Colossians 4:3:
“Pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the Word, to declare the mystery of Christ.”
At Midland Free we pray for the nations, and specifically for some of the least reached peoples for whom God has given us a heart. We also pray for individual missionaries that we support, many of which we have sent out from our own congregation.
People Groups
Midland Free is committed to sowing the Gospel among several unreached people groups. We support partners and partnerships in these areas of focus, as well as have individual prayer groups for each. Learn more about sowing fields, people groups, what it means to be unreached, and the needs of these groups.

“We can reach our world, if we will. The greatest lack today is not people or funds. The greatest need is prayer.” ~ Wesley L. Duewel
