We are happy to have Kurt Gelman serving as Lead Pastor at Midland Free. It was not until after High School that the Lord called Kurt into ministry. After many years serving in youth and family ministry, Kurt transitioned to a lead pastorate role. He has a passion for teaching the Bible, sharing Jesus with others, and seeing people grow in Christ. He is a graduate of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
A New Yorker by birth, Kurt has pretty much lived or traveled everywhere in the US. Kurt and his wife Lea met while serving at a Christian camp in New Hampshire. They have five children, who they think are pretty awesome. The Gelman family enjoy spending time together, especially outdoors, and family movie night. Besides being a pastor, Kurt enjoys coaching wrestling and tinkering with things around the house and in the garage.
